With the 6th instalment of the South Coast 7s done and dusted, it was another definite positive for junior rugby in the area. Held in Ulladulla, as assisted by the Shoalhaven city council, the weekend showcased a total of 29 matches across 4 divisions.

With many teams excited to travel for the event, from locations as far as Albury there is no doubt the yearly competition brings in an exciting collective of junior rugby.

With excitement generated around Ulladulla Sports Complex for the whole weekend, spectators got a great taste of junior 7s from all teams competing.

With all four divisions running smoothly throughout the weekend, and definite fan favourites the Sydney Fijians competing in three of them, the sidelines were certainly lively.

Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies Rugby Development Manager Cory Larsen says he is happy to see that the competition is continuing its strong connection in the area and looks forward to further growing the event.

"First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude to the Shoalhaven City Council for assisting in the creation and development of this event, as well as the Ulladulla Bulldogs volunteers for keeping everyone fed in the canteen. Also, a massive thank you to all the teams who came together and made this possible," said Larsen.

"Just watching over some matches this weekend, there is a great feel about this tournament with everyone from the Under 14s girls, all the way to the Under 18s boys giving it their all in some great displays of expansive rugby."

"I look forward to working toward the further growth of this event and ensuring the 2025 competition can build on the strong foundations we have created over the last six years."
