The ACT and SNSW Griffins have claimed the 2022 Australian Rugby Shield, crowning the Griffins as the best regional representative team in the country.

The best of Brumbies city and country rugby came together for the tournament and went undefeated, outlasting the NSW Cockatoos 34-31 in the Grand Final.

Bentspoke John I Dent Cup champion number eight Sila Tituti's try in the 64th minute and the boots of Jack Evenden and Lachie Day made the difference on the day, the Griffins once again putting ACT and SNSW rugby on the map with their historic victory.
