The Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies are excited to announce the newly instated Sole-X Cup, a new trophy in the Premier 15s competition thanks to Podiatry Professionals.

The newly introduced silverware trophy will also include a $500 cash prize to whichever team gets engraved on the trophy at the end of the regular season.

Aiming to reward home dominance, the trophy will be up for grabs any time the holder is hosting a match at their home ground. If the visitors should win, they take the trophy for themselves and must defend it at all their home ground for however long they may retain it.

The trophy will first be up for grabs in Round 9's clash between the Gungahlin Eagles and Wests Lionesses at Nicholls Enclosed.

Owned for two years by Matthew Hotchkis and Jake Cameronne, SOLE-X was initiated with a strong passion for sport, and keeping athletes on the field.

The duo proudly say "We are great supporters of the strong push behind Women in Sport. We love rugby, we love Canberra, what better way to be involved than with ACT Rugby!"

"Sole-X is a community based business and we are focused on serving every Australian and improving their foot health. Having close ties to the Brumbies Super Rugby Pacific and Brumbies Super Rugby Women's teams, we wanted to extend our support to all local rugby players," said Hotchkis.

"We are all about helping athletes be better and we wanted to stimulate some competition and fun amongst the weekly games. For us, sport is more about the journey each week than the end result, and we wanted to make that journey more enjoyable for all!"

"We are very eager to see who will win the Sole-X Cup in its inaugural season!"
