This year marks the seventh instalment of the South Coast 7s tournament and the fourth time held in the Shoalhaven City Council catchment. The Ulladulla Sports Complex remaining the tournament venue, utilising all three quality playing surfaces.

Teams from across the ACT, Southern NSW, Sydney and the South Coast will converge upon Ulladulla for what has become a vital opportunity for junior players to gain some pre-season playing experience.

The pool-style tournament will take place over two days:

  • Saturday 18th March
  • Sunday 19th March (including finals)

The competition continues to attract a large number of expressions of interest, expanding to 30 registered teams across the U14s, U16s and U18s girls and boys divisions. This year the tournament welcomes new teams including the NSW Fijian Rugby Boys and the Wollongong Hornets in the Girls Division.

The ACT Rugby Referees Association continue to support the event with twelve match officials overseeing 70 fixtures in the form of pool games and finals across the weekend.

Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies Rugby Development Manager Lachlan Creighton said: “We’re extremely grateful for our ongoing partnership with Shoalhaven City Council.

“The support provided in tournament preparation and access to high quality facilities adds to, what has now become a mainstay in the youth preseason calendar for rugby participants across ACT & NSW.

“Last year’s competition was extremely successful with over 500 players and 1,500 attendees across the weekend, creating a fun and exciting atmosphere, so we’re sure this year will deliver a platform for players, coaches and spectators to launch into the season ahead.”
