The Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies are proud to Partner with Wagga City Council for this year’s Super 7s on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 November at Connolly Park in Wagga Wagga.
Super 7s has been a mainstay in the community calendar for ACT & SNSW clubs for over five years. With a continued successful partnership with Wagga Wagga City Council, continuing to bring the best 7s teams from Southern Inland, South Coast, Monaro, ACT and surrounding areas into Wagga for a huge weekend of Junior 7s!
SIRU Development Officer Callum Redman was excited to see the event become bigger and better than ever before.
“The Super 7s has become a cornerstone of the community calendar for ACT and Southern NSW over the past five years, bringing together the best junior rugby talent from across ACT, Southern Inland, the South Coast, Monaro, and surrounding regions,” Redman said.
“Each year, the competition grows stronger, the community support deepens, and this year promises to be bigger and better than ever before. This event is about more than just rugby – it's about connection, community, and creating lifelong memories for players and supporters alike.
“We’re proud to continue our successful partnership with the Wagga Wagga City Council and welcome so many young athletes and their families to Wagga. Events like this promote health, build community, support youth development, boost local economies, and create fun, inspiring experiences for everyone involved.”
The 2025 competition sees a venue change, as we head to Connolly Park, the home of Southern Inland. There are several other exciting changes to enhance the experience for players, families, and fans, including:
- All teams will now play across both days – ensuring more rugby, more fun, and more development opportunities for all participants.
- Saturday matches will kick off mid-afternoon and run into the evening under lights, creating a dynamic and festival-like atmosphere.
- Additional off-field activities will run throughout the event, allowing teams to compete for special prizes in fun, team-building challenges.
- The event will welcome a range of vendors, including ACT Brumbies merchandise stalls and local food vendors, turning the grounds into a true hub for families and rugby fans alike.
We are currently inviting rugby clubs from across the regions to express their interest in participating in this year’s Super 7s event. Whether you’re a seasoned team or a rising squad ready to make your mark, this 7s competition is one not to miss.
