Ian Procter was a hard tackling, smooth running player who leapt into the national selection frame in 1967.

A talented winger and outside centre, Procter played for NSW Country against Ireland in their 1967 tour of Australia, before debuting for NSW against Victoria later that year.

Procter earnt his first international test debut for the Wallabies in a 1967 match against New Zealand in Wellington, for what was the 75th Jubilee of the New Zealand Union.

He continued his representative career playing for ACT against the Springboks in 1971 at Manuka Oval, and then went on to captain ACT in a winning match against Tonga in 1973.

Loved and respected by his family and many friends.

Ian Procter will forever be Wallaby #509.
