As ACT Premier Rugby makes a full return from the wet weather this weekend, Round 7 of the BentSpoke John I Dent Cup takes main stage as the Western District Lions prepare for a blockbuster clash with the Tuggeranong Vikings.

With both sides coming off tough losses last week both teams are out for a win, Jamison Oval shapes as a worthy Match of The Round this weekend.

Wests are hoping to bounce back this week after a tough loss against Royals, though the Lions will take a lot of confidence out of that game, following a physical effort with plenty of sharp attack around the paddock.

Tuggeranong are also looking to get back to their winning ways after a tough loss Gungahlin side that pulled their pants down last week at Viking Park. The 2024 grand finalists will need to bolster their defence in Round 7 if they hope to stop Wests' brutal offence.

Wests Captain Ryan Kiely and fly half Jacob Johnson will be key this weekend, needing to bring the physicality in defence and keep up their dangerous off-the-cuff attack.

Tuggeranong's skipper Lachlan Hooper has the task to get his team up for The Match of the Round, needing to put in a big shift in set piece to get his side back into the winners circle.

With yet another cracking game on paper for both squads, It's anyone's guess who comes out winners in Round 7. Expect a tight contest with the Vikings bringing back their Brumbies class act in Shane Wilcox who is recently back from a successful Australia under 20's campaign.
