ACT & SNSW Rugby are pleased to announce a ‘Return to Play Framework for Community Rugby’, which will see our ACT based clubs return to training from June 1.

These guidelines will provide a roadmap for the safest return to rugby at all community levels.

The framework comes with a comprehensive checklist, adaptable COVID-19 safety plans and templates that can be used by our clubs across the region.

These include practical and progressive steps around training behaviours, hygiene protocols, attendance registers at training and the use of equipment.

ACT & SNSW Rugby continue to work with our State and Territory Government authorities at a local level, with all guidelines around return to rugby being in step with the Australia Institute of Sport Framework for Rebooting Sport in a COVID-19 Environment and the Australian Governments National principles for the resumption of sport.

It also aligns with the ‘Return to Play in a COVID Safe Environment’ framework for community sport in the ACT.

Compliance with this framework will be an integral step for any competitions to return, and it is vital that everyone takes individual responsibility in adhering to any all protocols communicated by their clubs.

Announcements on a specific competition date will be made following the monitoring and review of this first stage of return to training.

Any return to competition for the John I Dent Cup in particular, will have full consideration for the Queanbeyan Whites and anticipated NSW Government announcements.
