With Round 3 of the BentSpoke John I Dent Cup fast approaching, the Uni-Norths Owls prepare to take on a Canberra Royals outfit full of momentum after an undefeated to start to the year, who look to defend the Bob Hitchcock Territory Shield in back-to-back weeks at Boomanulla Enclosed this Saturday (3:05PM).

The Owls are hoping to bounce back this week after a tough loss at home to the Gungahlin Eagles in Round 2. The Royals are riding high after last week's tight win against Western Districts at Boomanulla, but now have their sights set for this week's clash against Uni-Norths.

Uni captain Samuel Toa and centre Liae Tuilagi will be key this weekend as they shape to be integral to Owls success, as they look to topple the defending premiers of the competition in the Royals.

Toa has starred in the last two weeks, earning him consecutive Team of the Week selections. Leading the backline in the number 10 jersey, he will undoubtedly have a good battle with the young 10 on the other side of the park in Sam Myburgh.

Royals skipper Lincoln Smith once again has the task to get his young squad performing for another week against a hungry Owls side that is looking for an upset.

With yet another tight matchup on the cards for both squads, It's anyone's guess who comes out with the chocolates in Round 3. Expect a tight contest with new-look teams as Brumbies Runners selections play havoc in the John I Dent Cup.
