A powerful 2024 ACT Griffins squad has been selected following some exciting rugby at last weekend’s Capital Cup, with two fixtures against the Safeguard Global Brumbies XV awaiting on September 29th and October 5th.

The 30-player squad includes 4 Brumbies Country players, who excelled in their two matches against the Brumbies u19s in recent weeks. They will be joined by the cream of the John I Dent Cup

The Country selections include forwards Jack Preston, Harrison Locke, Waisea Tudulu and winger Mitch Ivill, whose strong performances in the Capital Cup have been rewarded.

2024 Bentspoke John I Dent Cup top point-scorer Cullin Cooper-Jones is a highlight, whilst another player to watch will be City captain Clay Uyen, who has been impressive since moving to fullback for the Gungahlin Eagles midseason. Both players will be hoping to finish an already strong season on a high.

John I Dent Cup champions also join the squad with Leon Bongare, James Bundy, Brendan Le Galludec and Oscar Waite all looking add one more piece of silverware to their trophy cabinets this year after a fairytale premiership with the Canberra Royals.

The lineup includes representatives from each of the six premier rugby clubs in the ACT, ensuring that the Brumbies XV will be put to the test on gameday.
